Moving a file from External Files
-
Hi, I have imported a file (foo.py) from Google Drive to "External Files".
As far I have understood, I have copied only an URL, not a real file.
However, I'd like to move foo.py in a pythonista folder which is a "Favorites" type.
I have no idea to do this.
I don't if my problem is clear...
Does anyone have an idea ? -
from the folder explorer, tap the Edit button at the top. This brings up selection checkboxes. select the files you want to move, then press the Move icon at the bottom (folder with arrow in it). Wait a few seconds, then a dialog will pop up, allwing you to choose the lication to move the file.

Sorry, I don't see the Edit button.

Which button must I tape? -
@frapython You're right. Edit becomes visible only if you tap on Ipad or iCloud

@frapython In Google Drive, you can select a file, then tap 'send a coy', then choose Pythonista 3, then "import file" and you'll find a copy of your file in your iPad root.

Great! Your solution works very well.
I can move my file now!
Thanks a lot. -
OK, in order to see the Edit button, one has to tap on "This Ipad" first.
Thank you for your help. -
@frapython Yes, like shown in my first image
