Flick button keyboard.
-
@shinya-ta But I already read aloud "comma" for "、"
-
The pronunciation of the buttons was too fluent and it was difficult to catch. If you listen carefully, it is a comma.
But it's a little difficult to understand, so please change it to Reading point. -
@shinya-ta version 00.31 is available with
modifications
- read aloud '。' as "period"
- read aloud '、' as "reading point"
- read all => read current line
- read to cursor => read from begin of line to cursor
- move up ⬆️ => locate cursor at begin of line
- move down ⬇️ => locate cursor at end of line
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/cvpe/Pythonista-scripts/master/Emojis_Keyboard.py
but, do you still need these two other buttons:
- '文頭' = top, similar to up
- '文末' = bottom, similar to down
-
Certainly, the "文頭" button and the "文末" button are functionally the same as the "⬆️" button and the "⬇️" button now.
Which one is more stable?
Please leave the stable one and delete the unstable one. Please show "capsLock" on the CapsLock button on the alphabet page.
And please show "shift" on the shift button. -

Which one is more stable?
Please leave the stable one and delete the unstable one.Ok, I will keep the "⬆️" button and the "⬇️" button
Please show "capsLock" on the CapsLock button on the alphabet page.
And please show "shift" on the shift button. Please confirm that you don't want to see anymore both arrow images on buttons but text titles "CapsLock" and "Shift" which will be read aloud automatically by VoiceOver
Or you want to keep the arrows on the faces of the buttons and to have CapsLock and Shift read aloud by VoiceOver, like CapsLock is already read in your actual version.- If you leave a flicking key without selecting a blue sub-key, do you want to read out a particular message like "no key has been selected" or "キーが選択されていません"?
-
1.Please change the display of the button.
⬆️→「文頭」⬇️→「文末」
Then, move to the original location of the "文頭" and "文末" buttons.
As for the empty space, we will reconsider the layout.2.I don't know if the Shift key is pronounced "shift" or not.
I feel it's a different word. That's why it's hard to hear.3.That's a good idea. Please do so.
-
-
you did not answer: for Shift and CapsLock keys, do you want to keep the arrows images on the keys or the texts themselves. Anyway, the texts will be pronounced by VoiceOver if tapped.
The actual version reads the word "Uppercase" in place of "Shift" -
Which text: "no key has been selected" or "キーが選択されていません"?

@shinya-ta version 00.32 is available with
modifications
- remove the "文頭" button and the "文末" button whose process is similar as
the "⬆️" button and the "⬇️" button now.
but change the display of the button: ⬆️→「文頭」⬇️→「文末」
then, move to the original location of the "文頭" and "文末" buttons. - if you leave a flicking key without selecting a blue sub-key,
do you want to read out a particular message "キーが選択されていません". - Shift key, use "Shift" as button title
CapsLock key, use "CapsLock" as button title
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/cvpe/Pythonista-scripts/master/Emojis_Keyboard.py
As 2 buttons have been removed, you would perhaps design a new keyboard or invent new buttons with new functionalities
- remove the "文頭" button and the "文末" button whose process is similar as

This audio guide is wonderful. I like it very much.
Can I use this Japanese voice with other buttons?
This is the sound of the "゛゜" button.
This is the sound of the "。、" button.
Japanese is better if possible. Is it difficult?I have a favor to ask.
I want you to change the display of the "アルファベット" button to "ABC".
I would like you to add a "symbol" button.
I want it to be displayed as a button list like Emoji buttons. For example :.
+−×÷=@ -/:;()¥&“.,?!’[]{}#%^*_|~<>$€£•.,?!’←→↑↓●○◎△▲□■Also, I would like you to create a new "fixed phrase" button.
As an example.
“おはよう😊”
“おはようございます☀️”
“こんちには✨”
“こんばんは🌙”
“お疲れ様です🙇” -
@shinya-ta Wow, what a nice list of new requests.
We are far from your initial demand of October 22, already more than 2 months.I want to make an iPhone-custom keyboard in pythonista.
I'm Japanese.
I want to make a custom keyboard for my iPhone that is Japanese compatible.
I want to make a flick input button in Python, but I don't know how to make it.Please, read carefully this post and try to answer clearly to my questions to avoid very long dialog of questions and answers
Can I use this Japanese voice with other buttons?
VoiceOver reads aloud the title of buttons with a voice that I can't choose but you can in settings. But, titles of flicked keys are read by my program when keys become blue and I can choose the voice, and even the texts to be read can be different of the keys title. Then please, for punctuation and voice marks keys, decide which text will be read. Additionally, if a key face is an image, the text read by VoiceOver can be different and decided by you.
I want you to change the display of the "アルファベット" button to "ABC".
It will be done
I would like you to add a "symbol" button.
I want it to be displayed as a button list like Emoji buttons.
For example : +−×÷=@ -/:;()¥&“.,?!’[]{}#%^*_|~<>$€£•.,?!’←→↑↓●○◎△▲□■I don't understand how your wife chooses an emoji or a symbol. Could you explain.
I would like you to create a new "fixed phrase" button.
As an example.
“おはよう😊”
“おはようございます☀️”
“こんちは✨”
“こんばんは🌙”
“お疲れ様です🙇”How do you want its process?
Display a scrollable list like the Kanjis?
With only down, up and ok key, not the round arrow key?
And do you want a list of phrases that you would maintain/manage via Pythonista in a text file?- For the 2 new buttons, where to put them on the keyboard, and do they need to be reachable in any sub-keyboard? If yes don't forget to check there is a free area at the same place in each sub-keyboard.
For example, the Emojis key is visible even in Alphabet sub-keyboard. If you want that Symbols key to be visible also in Alphabet, you have to think about where to put this new key...
-
1.As for the sound mark button, please display it with the "濁点" button.
What is read out is :“゛”=”濁点””゜”=”半濁点”
Please display the punctuation button with the "、。?!" button.
Read out is "、" = "てん", "。" = "まる".
I already read out "?,!" in Japanese, so you don't have to do anything.- I see.
3.I sometimes use symbols.
As an example.
5+3=8Especially "-" is a symbol often used.
If it's like a list of Emoji, you can choose which symbol to use by yourself. You can use Emoji in the same way.- I would like you to make it possible to display multiple pages at once. Please use a rectangular button or something like that. I would like you to change the page for the part that cannot be displayed like the button of "⏩".
You don't have to keep track of phrases. You don't need that many.
5.I see. The symbol button is used only for the Hiragana keyboard. The symbols used are as follows :.
〜ー•←→↑↓●○◎△▲□■
List of common phrase buttons.
“おはよう😊” “おはようございます☀️” “こんちには✨” “こんばんは🌙” “お疲れ様です🙇”
Also, please change the layout of the page with numbers.
Please put it in the same order as Hiragana.
Also, please add a button for the symbol.
Please put the left delete button in the same layout as the Hiragana keyboard.First line. 1,2,3,4,5
Second line. 6,7,8,9,0
Third line. +,−,×,÷,=Please add a left delete button to the page of alphabet keyboard.
It is a drastic layout change of the Hiragana keyboard.
First line. “⬅️,文頭,read to cursor ,定型文read all,文末,➡️”
Second line. “ABC,あ,か,さ,た,な,左削除”
Third line. “数字,は,ま,や,ら,わ,漢字”
Fourth line. “絵文字,小文字,カタカナ,記号,、。,゛゜,return” -
@shinya-ta said in Flick button keyboard.:
I want to use it for e-mail and website search like the old keyboard.

@shinya-ta don't answer to dioni1, it is a spam

@shinya-ta You ask a lot of modifications and new functionalities, I'm not sure that I correctly understood all but I'll try. Surely in several versions and I hope you will give a quick feed-back at each version
I would like you to make it possible to display multiple pages at once. Please use a rectangular button or something like that. I would like you to change the page for the part that cannot be displayed like the button of "⏩".
I don't understand anything about this paragraph but you can already test these modifications:
version 00.33 is available with
modifications
- change the display of the "アルファベット" button to "ABC".

I need a first ゛character as first flicked key- “゛” read as ”濁点”
- ”゜” read as ”半濁点”
- display the punctuation button as "、。?!"
- "、" read as "てん"
- "。" read as "まる"

without ⏩ and ⏪ buttons (not sure I correctly understood) - add "fixed phrases" button
without any action actually (I did not understand the request about the keyboard layout)

I'm sorry, I can't explain the buttons very well.
It will be fine if you can display many buttons for common phrases on one screen.
My wife can choose from them by herself.
It would be helpful if I can display one fixed phrase with a long button that uses all one lines. There are a few more corrections.
Please place the buttons on the Katakana page at the same height as the Hiragana page.
I want you to put the button to go back to the Hiragana page from the Katakana page in the same place as the "カタカナ" button on the Hiragana page.
I would like you to change the display of the button to return to the Hiragana page from each page to "平仮名". - add "fixed phrases" button
-
@shinya-ta version 00.34 is available with
modifications
- change the display of the button to return
to the Hiragana page from each page to "平仮名" - place the buttons on the Katakana page at the same height
as the Hiragana page. - place the buttons on all other pages at the same height
as the Hiragana page. - put the button to go back to the Hiragana page from the Katakana page
in the same place as the "カタカナ" button on the Hiragana page. - phrases sub-keyboard with large buttons to fill screen,
but only 4 rows of buttons and 5 phrases => 2 columns
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/cvpe/Pythonista-scripts/master/Emojis_Keyboard.py
- change the display of the button to return
-
It was wonderful. I was impressed.
There is only one more modification.“こんばん”🌙”→”こんばんは🌙”
That's all for the request of the function.
All you have to do is to hear my wife's opinion and confirm it.
If there is, I think it is just fine tuning.I want to give you a reward.
I can only thank you.
I want to see you in person and say thank you. You are a really reliable close friend and benefactor. -
@shinya-ta said
I want to give you a reward.
my best reward is to hear that you and your wife are satisfied, and above all, could use this keyboard
version 00.35 is available with
modifications
- change one phrase: “こんばん”🌙”→”こんばんは🌙”
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/cvpe/Pythonista-scripts/master/Emojis_Keyboard.py
one limitation bothers me: if you want to modify, add, delete phrases, you will have to ask me, whereas I could provide reading a Fixed_Phrases.txt file that you could update yourself locally in the script folder, whenever you want.
-
There are amendments and additions.
“こんちには✨”→”こんにちは✨”
An additional phrase.
“そんなの知らん😜”
“今から帰る🛵”
“買い物してから帰る🏪”I want you to change the position of this button.
“←”,”●”
