Transfer Editorial snippets and workflows between iPad and iPhone
-
Because of the larger screen on the iPad, it is much easier to create workflows and snippets than on the iPhone/iPod Touch. As others have mentioned, it would be useful to backup created workflows and snippets. The workflows to do this seem to work when backing up and restoring with a backup from that device. They do not seem to work though when trying to restore with a backup created from another device.
For example, create a backup on iPad, restore on iPod Touch. If a backup has not been created on the iPod Touch, the message No Backups Found. If a backup has been created on the iPod Touch, the only restore options are ones created by iPod Touch even though Dropbox shows them all.
Is there another way to move snippets and workflows between devices? -
It should work. Be sure to manually download the workload backup files tapping on them. By default they are not downloaded, and are in fact grey, not black.

Possibly, is it this?

manuguerra, I don't understand what you are saying. The snippet and workflow zip files created from the iPad show up in Dropbox, as do the ones created from the iPhone. However, neither device can see the other devices zip files when doing a restore. The only ones seen are those created on that device.
The workflow backup link is the one given by beer2011.
The snippet backup link is: http://www.editorial-workflows.com/workflow/6427167973965824/wpZ_31ANLs0 -
Thank you manuguerra.
I now understand what you meant by greyed out in Editorial's Dropbox screen. Just as you said, tapping on the file makes it available on the other device. All is good with transferring between devices. Nice. -
This one does both.
