Editorial Keeps Crashing.
-
I was copying some code from GitHub that I found for Pythonista, using the editorial browser. And all of a sudden I was kicked out of editorial. When I launch it, it just quits. I rebooted the ipad, but editorial always opens to the last action you were doing, so when I open it, it still crashes.
I posted on this issue before.
I don't want to delete the app, because my documents will be lost (I have a lot).
This is a major issue to me with Editorial, because I do have important documents, which can't be recovers if this issue persists.

Could you try entering
editorial://
in Safari's address bar? This should open the app without trying to reload any documents. -
That didn't work either. I was able to retrieve my documents from editorial using the iExplorer program, because iTunes couldn't sync all the files because of duplicate names or something.
I really needed one particular document. This makes me a little cautious from now on.
Perhaps a workflow can be made to backup all documents at once to a location? Dropbox perhaps?
It is the in-app browser that stalled it.

I get VoiceOver crash in the document editing window,. However, no crash in the preview window. So, if it's a markdown doc, preview it and use VoiceOver there. No data lost, it's a small annoyance, (this is version 1.1.1)
Technically, I do not edit (compose) the document with VoiceOver on. I use VO as a proof reading tool.

This must have something to do with either Pythonista, GitHub, or the editorial browser.
I had to delete the app last time, and it was a pain. Lost all of my actions and snippets. Glad I had them backed up on my other ipad.
Once again, I was copying code from a link to github for Pythonista inside of the editorial browser. I exited editorial, and tried to come back. Now it crashes.
This is a big bug

When how for @TutorialDoctor to have been shown was tried, it has checked too that it became impossible to start 'Editorial'.
It seems that cautions are required. Then, although starting from 'Safari' was tried, it did not work. Umm...
In my case, crash of 'Editorial' is experienced once before.
There is no telling whether this is the cause... -
Okay, his time I wasn't using GitHub, but I had some data that was retrieved from a police data API which uses json.
I wonder if it has something to do with what was last in the clipboard. Either way I am. It able to get back into editorial. I cent delete it this time, as I don't have a recent backup. I really need a way to force editorial to boot to a fresh state. This should be a setting in the ios settings of the app.
Something like "refresh editorial," until this bug is corrected. Anyone know of a workaround?

Somehow, something worked. It might be the info from this site
Or it might be the fact that I have my iPad connected to iTunes, and am syncing it.
Either way, I can now open the app.
It could also be that I restricted websites from within IOS settings.
