Please help: Unable to move from 1st custom UI to the next on iPhone (iOS7)
-
Since I am a furniture trader, and not a software person, I am totally clueless, and need your help. I have a workflow with multiple custom UIs that works just fine on iPad, but not on iPhone. Here's a screenshot of the workflow, if that helps.
In the first UI, when I tap a button, it saves a variable to the workflow and terminates the UI with 'Dismiss' action. See this image. Subsequently, the workflow should read the variable passed and bring up a second UI. This works just fine on iPad, but not on iPhone. Is this a limitation on the iPhone version of Editorial? Is there a workaround? Or am I doing something wrong?

I checked by creating another workflow, and it seems to be an issue on iPhone :-(

Try using a label as a variable. You can drag the label off is the main view to hide it.
Instead of storing it in a variable, store it in a label using "Set UI Control Value"
You could also save it in a text field, and make sure the auto save feature is enabled. This way, when you stop the workflow, and start it again, the last value that was in the field is still there.
Are you using Sub-workflows for different UIs?

Adding label doesn't work either. See this.
I am not using sub-workflows.

Here is a workflow I posted that demonstrates how to pass variables out of a Custom UI menu.
You might need to create the test1 variable above the first UI action, in the main workflow.

Thank you... Saw your workflow, but may be the issue is with the Dismiss UI action in the workflow I am trying to make. I will complete the workflow that I am building and post it. Then may be you can help me with the specifics.
Is there a twitter handle I can reach you on after it is complete? Thanks, again.

I do need to create a twitter account soon, but for now you can reach me through my website contact form:
