Resolved [was: Anyone having issues with Pythonista 1.5 + iPad Air 2?]

Update: Being that no one else is reporting problems of this sort, I suspect my issue was an isolated experience and I don't want to mistakenly spread misinformation about Pythonista's stability. I was able to regain control of the app using the pythonista:// launch URL trick from dgelessus/omz described below and have had no other issues. Pythonista continues to work great on my new iPad Air 2 (64747.2 pystones/s according to Pystone 1.1) ]
Hi all,
I apologize in advance if this isn't the type of question appropriate for this forum, but has anyone else experienced issues with Pythonista (1.5) on an iPad Air 2?
Up until a few days ago I'd been using Pythonista for several months on a 4th gen iPad without any issues. Now when I attempt to launch Pythonista on an iPad Air 2, all I get is the startup screen (blank white screen with the '>>>' logo. No UI controls and the app is unresponsive to any touch gestures). Both devices are on iOS8.1.
So far have tried: Quitting Pythonista, quitting all other 'running' apps, power-cycling device -- with no change. The only thing I haven't tried yet is deleting Pythonista and re-installing from scratch. (I'll need to wait until I can manually backup my Library folder as I have a large number of projects I can't afford to lose).
I know the iPad Air 2 features a 64-bit, 3x core processor and wonder if that could be making a difference somehow? (I'm not familiar enough with ARM architecture or native iOS development to know if builds have to be targeted that specifically)
At this point I don't know if I'm running into an isolated case with my config or if others are seeing this.
Thanks

I would probably try the deinstall/reinstall option. I've been using Pythonista on an iPad Air 2 for nearly a week now without any troubles at all.

Before doing that, try opening the link pythonista:// in Safari. This will launch the app with no script opened in the editor, bypassing the automatic loading of the last open script. I had a similar issue a while back where I accidentally opened a text file which was too large for Pythonista to handle, thus locking me out of the app until @omz reminded me of that hidden feature.

Thanks for the responses, folks.
The app launch url (pythonista://) tricked worked!!
Really appreciate the help -- at least it buys me a bit of time if I need to reinstall the app.
