Stop Pythonista from opening a file at startup?
-
Hello,
I have done something very stupid:
I made a for i in xrange(9999999999999)-Loop writing str(i) to a file called "test2.py" (.py so that i can see whats in the file after working with it.). After closing the file, i opened it with Pythonista for reading, but as this file is very large, pythonista crashed. The problem is, that pythonista tries to open it every startup and crashes again. I tried closing, reboot, and RAM-reset. Normally i would just re-install the app, but there are some scripts(server, encryption, framework) i worked on for months and older scripts (about one and a half year old), which i dont wont to lost. Does anyone have an idea to prevent pythonista from opening the/any file at startup without loosing my scripts? unfortunally, there is no setting for that in the default Settings and i cannnot do anything within the app as it crashes immediatly( well, after 10 sec loading time). Fast said:
-Pythonista crashes every startup trying to open a large file
-(For me) important files in the app, so i cant/dont want reinstall/delete the app
-Cannot acces anything in the app as it crashes immediatly
-tried to reboot and RAM-reset
I have an iPod touch 5g 32 gb with ios8.x(the newest aviable) and the current Pythonista-version(not the beta).
thanks for any answers. -
Pythonista registers a custom URL protocol with iOS, and opening a bare pythonista:// URL in Safari launches Pythonista without opening any file.

Thanks a lot. I totally forgot that feature.
