I'm having a hard time making an audio visuializer. I didn't know that they don't have the bpy module. I'm kinda stumped. -
You could use numpy to do fft of say 1 second of audio, plot that. Repeat ever 1 second.
I haven't looked into it much, but I wonder if it would be possible to make an opengl shader that takes some numpy output and does something interesting ... or even if it is possible to make an opengl shader that does the fft inside opengl.... -
I don't know how to get access to the microphone

There currently is no way to access the microphone, you would have to import an audio file into your script library.
