Section Rows in Tableview
-
Not sure if I am missing something about section header rows in tableview or not. But other than setting the name of the section as well as how many rows a section contains, it seems like I can not change any of the text properties, row size or behaviour of these rows/cells. When I change the row height for the table, the section row heights remain static. When scrolling through the rows with a multi section table, the section title sticks to the top of the frame as each new section is exposed. It's a cool feature, and I am sure took a lot of work. But in this case I want to mimic a settings screen like that in the iOS settings app. I sort of thought this was one of the reasons sections were included into the tableview. I guess it's not a big deal. I guess I could just do away with the sections and in my list of items have a 'DIV' entry, so I create and draw those cells differently, but if there is a more correct way to do it with sections, prefer to do that than rolling my own solution.
Thanks. -
That's currently not possible to change, I'm afraid. There are basically two styles of table views in iOS: "Plain" table views with "sticky" section headers and "grouped" table views, typically used for settings and such.
ui.TableView
only supports "plain" table views, so you're stuck with the sticky headers for now. -
@omz, that's fine. Building it up now, using normal tableview with icons and divider cells etc... I think it will look and work mostly like apples. The only thing I am worried about is the cell hilighting when drawing icons etc into the content_view of the cell. I have had problems with it before, but didn't do much to try and resolve it. I will ask another question if I can't figure it out myself.
Thanks again
