Reference regurgitation (Some python patterns and anti patterns)
-
@ccc mentioned this link in a post the other day.
http://docs.quantifiedcode.com/python-anti-patterns/
I could see some people took exception with some of their assertions about correct code or not.
Regardless if you are a newbie like me, it's worth a read. No pun intended, but it put some things in context for me, like using the context manager for opening files etc., as well as supporting contexts in your own classes if it makes sense.
They also mention, you learn a lot from reading bad code. Maybe they are not 100% correct, but some good insights at this site. Plainly written.Just wanted to mention it as I spent some time reading there today. I thought it was very worthwhile. I think some of these gems of information are overlooked sometimes.
Thanks @ccc
