App to run Pythonista Apps
-
@omz
Sorry if this was asked before.
As I'm working away on some projects, eventually I may want to share these - but people that I may want to share with don't have a clue about programming etc.
So I was wondering if you ever considered creating a kind of App that would have these kinds of functions/features:- download a pythonista created program from (somewhere)...basically an app store with Pythonista user created apps (public and private)
- automatic install of dependencies for a downloaded app
- just 'tap-and-run' functionality...no code
In pythonista > the ability to package an app for distribution with this kind of system.
Anyway- just throwing a thought your way. Thanks for all your hard work!

Apple would not approve of such an app. @omz is already moving somewhere along the borderline of what Apple thinks is okay. But if you were to create something that resembles an appstore, Apple would just reject it. What you could look into is the xcode template. It allows you to put you script into a self contained app which you can share with other people (however I would, wait until iOS 9 with this, as it allows easy sideloading and doesnt cost you money for developing).

That's not something Apple would allow in the App Store. Downloading executable code in any way is strictly forbidden by the App Review guidelines.
