I am a little/a lot naive when it comes to spam in a forum like this. For the life of me I can't see why people do it. So it's not the first thing that crosses my mind. I can only feel sorry for people who think it's smart to do this.
Actually it does infuriates me. People are here to,lean and enjoy programming with Pythonista/Editorial , So why should here be a target. Oh well, I guess this is the world we live in now. A little disheartening

I agree with you, thus the best is to ignore them and to stop to speak about it!
        Have a good week-end

These spammers are probably just bots, not real humans. The only humans involved are the ones writing the bots (they are probably paid well enough for it to be worthwile) and the website owners who use "spambot services" hoping that they can promote their site.

Yes, copying an existing post verbatim, and then modifying it later is probably a pretty effective way to get around content-based spam filters, and it doesn't look immediately suspicious to a human either, especially if it's an old topic.

Unless the human is also a QA engineer and walking into a bar.

Lol, I spent 12hours every day in a bar. Bars are something I know about. I should write bar language 😱 But it's a good hint why I progress so slowly. You have to do something in retirement

Ho, happy guy! 12 hours per day in a bar, my dream! but, but...I'm married, and unfortunately, not with a barmaid πŸ˜‡
If you find a bar language, I buy it!
Cheers or santΓ©, it's almost aperitif time, now.

@cvp , I am also not married any more (divorced over 16 yrs ago). No new wife, no girlfriend. Only possibilities. It's a cruel lonely life 😱
