High school student created apps on the App Store
-
Hi everyone
My name is Chris Robinson and I am a high school teacher.
I run a Python lunch time group and teach the basics of Python as well as how to use the Pythonista specific modules. In November last year, two of my students published games on the App Store.
Boxscape - https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/boxscape/id1053771238?mt=8
This game was created using only primitive drawing functions, no use of Layers at all.Third Law - https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/third-law/id1054853024?mt=8
This game features a custom physics engine and was creating using custom subclasses of Layer. Please see the App Store descriptions for more information.
Check them out!

Hi Chris... Your students were already on our radar https://forum.omz-software.com/topic/798/pythonista-tools-is-now-open-for-collaboration-please-join-the-effort/4
Thier apps are already in Pythonista-Tools under Pythonista Apps in the Apple AppStore. Welcome to the team.

Hi Chris...l believe you are the Chris Robinson that has the YouTube videos using pythonista...when using the code for basic-sprite-nodes there is an error on line 10 when I run the code....point object is not callable...self.snail.position(200, 250)...any input...Thanks in advance
-
@pittsfieldkenl, look i haven't worked with sprites at all, but have you tried self.snail.position=(200, 250)
Assigning a tuple as the position. The error code makes me think thats the problem. Sorry, its a stab in the dark. But worth a try. -
Thanks for App
