Xcode not showing Pythonista images or playing sounds.
-
When I run a Pythonista 2.0 script in the latest Xcode template (1.6), no system images show up or sounds play.
I am assuming this is because the Xcode template is out of date. Can anyone confirm this?
For example if I have a button with an inserted image, the button image is missing in the Xcode simulator and a click noise doesn't play but the button still works.

Some of the icons and sounds are in a different place in 2.0 than they were in 1.5. Try the 1.6 template posted on the forums recently.

The new Pythonista seems to use the "app thinning" feature, which packs all media for an app into an "Assets.car" file rather than normal individual files. At least I think that's how it works, I'm not an expert. Though I'm not sure why that would affect media loaded from a script.

I am using template name "PythonistaProjectTemplate_160". Is this the latest?
I would assume all those sounds and images that are new to Pythonista 2.0 are not in this old template.

@donnieh I don't think you should be affected then... As long as the file names are the same there's no reason why it shouldn't work. Files from pythonista don't come with any kind of metadata that tells them they're from a different place. Even though the files themselves might have moved, if the names are the same it shouldn't matter. Anyway, this is not an official template, so the best we can do is wait for @omz to release a 2.0 template.

@Webmaster4o what I am claiming is I am using images and sounds add to the latest Pythonista library only. So these wouldn't exist in the older template. Right?

Xcode shows this error in debug window when sound try to play.
PythonistaProject[1838:380387] OAL Error: -[OALSimpleAudio internalPreloadEffect:reduceToMono:]: Could not load effect ui:switch1.caf

But the template was released during the beta. This is an early template from the beta, and I believe no sound and images were made between the template and the current release. The changes from 1.5 were already implemented, I think.
