Best backup approach/strategy

If I do an iCloud backup of my device, will all the Pythonista configuration and files be saved? if the answer is no, what is the right approach to keep a backup of my files and configuration. I am starting to do a lot of customizations in Stash, site-packages, etc. and I do not want to loose everything, thanks
PS. I am new to Pythonista, amazing app by the way!!!

iCloud backups store all app data (except for what you explicitly disable), which would include Pythonista. There are Dropbox sync scripts other people have made, but I've never actually gotten them to work.

Thanks, why somebody would want to use Dropbox If iCloud would do the full backup automatically? I do not get it, please could you explain.

@Ol The only way to get your data back through the iCloud backup is to restore your entire iDevice from a backup. If you backup a different way, such as Dropbox, you can restore your files without reloading the entire operating system.

@disorientedp Got it, thanks a lot

iCloud is fine, but you cannot get access to individual files. You would have to restore your entire phone to get Pythonista restored.
I like to use this script written by @omz to create a zip of all the Pythonista files. It puts a zip file of your entire python directory in the main directory. Then you can either leave the zip file there or download it via http server. This way you can browse files if you have to just restore a single file or line of code.

The above is just for files. Configuration is saved in iCloud.
