Annoying iOS 9 fn key behavior
-
With iOS 9 the behavior of the fn key on my Apple wireless keyboard changed. Before you could use it like on a Mac to e. g. change the Backspace key to Delete. Now when I press the fn key it brings up the keyboard language/layout switcher and switches to the next keyboard layout, which annoyingly is always the Emoji palette, which takes a few seconds to load on my (almost) stone age iPad mini.
This only happens with the Apple keyboard - I also have a (iPad-specific) Logitech keyboard, it also has a fn key, which works as expected.
Does anyone by chance know if this is behavior is intentional and if there is any way to turn it off?

I don't know for sure, but I suspect that this might somehow have to do with the new iPad Pro keyboard, which has a dedicated language switcher key (perhaps with the same key code as the function key on Apple keyboards). I don't really think there's a way to change this (I'm not aware of any settings for hardware keyboards).

I have this behavior too. I don't really care, though, I almost never use forward delete ever on any device.
