Renaming files problem & Searching for text files
-
Hello, I just started using Editorial a few days ago and I have some problems:
Renaming files in my Dropbox gives me “Sync Error – An error occurred while renaming (…): Internal Server Error (500).“ Strangely, renaming works in the top level of the synced Dropbox folder, but nowhere else. I’ve tried the Reset Sync function, but it didn’t help.
Also, is there no function to search for text files?
On a side note, it looks like the forum search function is broken: when I enter the name of a thread, it comes up with zero results.

Strange, do you have any special characters in your folder names?
There's a bundled "Global Search" workflow for searching text files, you can find it in the workflow menu (wrench icon).
I'm looking into the forum search issue, thanks!

Thank you for the quick reply!
No special characters in the folder names. Also tried re-installing Editorial and re-linking Dropbox, both to no effect. I’m accessing the same Dropbox folder using another text editor on both iPad and iPhone, if that makes any difference. But I quit the other iPad editor and it still gives me errors.
Could it be that Global Search searches for text inside files, but not for the names of folders and files?

I am having the same error trying to rename a new document created in a Dropbox folder with ! and ~ characters. Renaming in the root Dropbox (no special characters) folder works fine.

I am having the same error when trying to rename a new document created on Dropbox via Editorial that is automatically titled, "Untitled". No special characters in any of my document or folder names.

Same issue here - above comments say it all. Perhaps it's a recent change, update, or temporary issue.

Huh. Strange.
Renaming files works again for me.
Wonder if the error will come back.
