How to post apps to the App Store?
-
So, how do I post apps to the App Store? And do I have to optimize the screen size for other devices or it'll be stretched automatically (I mean about the others who may download my apps, they can have a problem that the SceneView is too big/small for their screens.)?
Thanks! -
Putting Pythonista projects on the App Store is a fairly complicated process. You need to put your script in the Xcode project here (note that it only works for Python 2 projects currently) and buy access to the Apple Developer program, which is $99 a year. If you're willing to pay that then we can help further.

Stupid question (but stupid is the one who doesn't ask) : will the apps developed with Pythonista be able to run standalone ? Or will they need Pythonista as a platform to execute them ?

I have gone through this process a few months ago and can give you some tips if you like. The Xcode template itself is great but there might be a few things need sorting out to get it to work (depending on the complexity of the app).
You do have to make sure the app adapts to the screen sizes of different devices, as Apple will turn it down otherwise.
Also, I might be wrong, but because the Python code is essentially inside a wrapper, you cannot interact with Apple frameworks like GameCentre etc (I'm open to being corrected on this - maybe it just takes some clever code).

I will very certainly ask you for help, in some weeks, even only for posting an "helloworld" dummy app to the AppStore ! Thank you. -

It will be great to see a tutorial for something like this. We don't have to publish to the appstore since test apps are no longer allowed in the appstore but it will be good to publish to our device (which requires $99 membership, unless it changed).
My aim is to just use Python for the backend handling and not do anything in Swift.
Is Python3 not supported yet?
