Autocorrect is randomly mangling my python code
-
Turned off my iphone's autocorrect but still on in pythonista. It ends up replacing a bunch of characters on the last couple of lines(current and prev) when it sees a sequence it thinks it recognizes. It particularly likes replacing underscores with other characters.
Then i have to either retype or press undo 5 or 10 times. The worst part is that it will repeat this behavior unless i make a small change to that particular line of code.

Ps--Other than this I've really enjoyed using pythonista

I have not encountered anything like what you describe, so it is certainly not normal.
Which version of Pythonista you are using?
Is the behavior consistent? Can you give us a simple sequence where this always happens? E.g. open a new file, write specific words.

I'll see if i can isolate a simple case though it seems to depend on what has been topped on my particular phones keyboard
-
Note that even if autocorrect is off, you might have shortcuts turned on, which might behave as you describe.
Are you using a custom keyboard?
