Pythonista is the most advanced development tool ever. I use it every day for for running my personal Task Launcher which I have created with Pythonista and HTML. Pythonista has its own built in Localhost web server which runs HTML locally and seamlessly on my iphone. I encourage you to learn HTML using Pythonista and develop your own personal task launcher. Happy trails.

It really does depend on how much of a beginner you are
From ‘Never Coded Anything’” to “New to Python but have mastered 4 other prog languages”If you have never coded anything then I’d suggest downloading Swift Playgrounds (free and created by Apple) as it takes you from True Ground Zero, and leaves you with good understanding of a lot of the basics.
LETS BE CLEAR
I am not promoting Swift over Python, I am simply saying that the Playground App provides a great start for TOTALLY NEW adult and teen coders. For really young coders Scratch Jr is a real winner (again free)
Sadly MIT have yet to port Scratch to the iPad, not sure why?Once you have grasped programming basics, come back to Pythonista and start by reading and re- reading the Welcome Message, then go through the tutorial, then start ripping apart the game examples. Then make your first game. Understanding how the examples and other people’s code works is a great way to expand your knowledge.
I am still very much a Python Newbie, but that didn’t stop me building my first game app
It takes photos from my favourites album on the iPad and creates pelmenism games with 9 levels of difficulty and both players and high scores stored in files. Still too buggy to see the light of day, but I hope to get it to the point of sharing soon.
Most of all HAVE FUN!

And the more I experience them the more, I am impressed by the body of dedicated helpers (hero’s) in this forum. I hesitate to name names as there are many willing tutors/heros.
I only hope that the continuous drip feed of totally incompetent (really need help...often me!) and blindingly obviously lazy forum users don’t wear the hero’s out.
Three Rules
- Read and re read the Welcome Text
- Read the “extensive documentation”
- Make extensive use of the Examples
Only then come to the forum.. for answers
I recently read another clue, to solving your own problems.
Start simple, decompose the problem into smaller chunks., and resolve one chunk st a time.Starting complex never helps anyone.... so Why oh Why do I always do it!
Recently I fell foul of my own Rule 1
Of course @omz would put how to give beta feedback in the Welcome text!
