It appears that form_dialog fields of type 'number' behave in every respect as if they were of type 'text'.

Number fields require string initial values, return string results, and allow the user to enter string values on the form.

Is there actually any difference? Are number fields merely a planned future feature?

i think the number type is applicable to iPhone only, where it shows the number keyboard. on iPad, they keyboard type doesnt really do anything. it would be neat to combine cvp's custom keyboards with dialogs!
