Keyboard for iOS with Python
-
What is your advice for making an iOS keyboard with Python?
What are the essential libraries for this matter?
Is there any iOS keyboard made by Python to develop it by adding another language?P.S.: I want to make an iOS Keyboard for my native language with python. (I have python and it is working in Xcode)
-
Do you mean a keyboard accessible in other apps? Or just within pythonista?
-
@JonB
Hi,
No. I mean an installable keyboard app for all iOS devices. -
you can't do it within pythonista. it kight be possible with the xcode template
-
@JonB
I meant totally in Python but on my PC not only in Pythonisa. But I wish I could in Pythonista also 😜 -
someone created a webide script, which is almost what you want.
-
@dolanskurd, do I understand correctly that you want to create a custom keyboard, like the many that are available on the iOS App Store, but for the PC?
-
I think he wants to use his PC as a keyboard for his device.

@JonB
Any link?! -
@mikael
No Mikael, actually I wanna make an iOS custom keyboard for iPhone and iPad, but is there any chance to use a library to use python for this purpose? I have mac + Xcode on my PC via wmware. -
Ok, with xcode you might as well just make a custom key board using objc. I bet you can find an example custom keyboard thar you could customize without a lot if objc knowledge.
It might be possible to create a python custom kb, with the xcode template,, but the python you'd use using would be all objc_util, and would be painfully slow to launch, so probably is not worth it. Also, I suspect you would need to heavily modify the template.
If you were just trying to use your PC to code in pythonista, see https://forum.omz-software.com/topic/2714/webide

Okay! Thanks for helping :-)p
