Script to test Objective-c AVSpeechSynthesizer
-
you can set
- the text, even with combined emoji like flags or 'woman artist' 👩 + 🎨 = 👩🎨
- the language/voice among the 52 available
- you need to tap the voice and the TableView will expand with all voices
- the rate of speaking
- speak or spell, and in this case, the delay between two letters
-
@cvp, Speak button seems to do nothing for me. Also, it is funny but maybe not so useful that while the voice changes, it is still using device language for the emoji names. Maybe the language voukd also be set according to the voice prefix?
-
@mikael you're right, sorry for the bug, I had modified th script just after my tests...
Now, the speak should be working. -
@mikael about the language used for emojis, I search...
-
@mikael Please Try this in the script
-
@mikael and try this in a new mail
The 1st line is spoken in English and the 2nd in French (I have both keyboards configured)
-
And the best for the end 😭
Little script with only a text view of two lines, I select all and:
the 1st line is spoken in French
the 2nd line is spoken in English
Language is changed during speaking.
I'll never be able to do that by program -
