A couple of base workflows for integrating TextTool with Editorial
-
I've uploaded a couple of simple workflows that use TextTool to manipulate your text selections.
The first changes the case of the selection and enables you to choose between upper, lower, sentence or word case - Install here
The second enables you to sort a selection of lines in ascendent or descendent order - Install here
You can use these as a base template for building bespoke workflows for any of TextTools text manipulation actions.

I love TextTool. Incorporating the encode in a sort of browser services workflow I'm working on, part of a trio. Did you have any problem with TextTool automatically putting the output in the clipboard? As I understand it, it does by default from an x-callback. It did for me originally. Then I accidentally deleted the entire workflow (embarrassed to admit how, but it was stupid). when I rebuilt it, it for some reason wasn't copying it to clipboard. It might not have even been running the action, despite opening TT and returning to Editorial. It was the exact same url action. It works now, though I didn't do anything to it, just tried it again later and it was fine. It was odd, So I'm just curious if you had any issue.
Anyway, good work on these. Nice work on the list for the Case workflow. Much more efficient probably than what I'd have done, most likely. I love TextTool's url scheme and parameters. Blackfog did an awesome job on that. Great documentation. I'm excited for his Workflows app. Hoping the B5 is out soon. Cheers!

Cheers.
I've not had any problems parsing TextTools's content to the clipboard (you just need to make sure you DON'T USE 'clipboard=0' as part of your URL). But as you may have noticed I prefer to paste the manipulated text back in Editorial manually using the 'ppp' shortcut. I've found that Editorial sometimes loses the original selection when it returns automatically from another app. This isn't just with TextTool either; I've just put a workflow together for 'Clean Links' (works perfectly) and this workflow also sometimes loses the original selection when returning to Editorial. Can't say it bothers me as I prefer the flexibility of managing the final clipboard paste manually anyway.

That's probably a better idea. Though for the my purposes, it needs to end up in the clipboard. Needless to say, it will require some more testing and fiddling, which is half the fun anyway. I just saw your Clean Links one. Found the app a couple of days ago and put it on my todo list as the next to incorporated in the workflow. I was glad to see it had a URL scheme. An app like that needs one, in the current state of iOS.
