Pythonista on the iPad
-
Dear All,
I have downloaded Pythonista on my iPad to use it to learn Python. I am having some difficulties. I wanted to start by using the console to test simple statements, but whenever I start typing in the console, automated completions come up and hide my line. This is quite annoying since I am forced to type blindly. I could find no setting for this, and it seems that the typing part of the console cannot be moved or extended. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Hi @Lacajenne
Is it one of the new iPads Pros with bigger screens ? When I remember correctly the current version on the app store is not so compatible with the new screen sizes from the new iPads. A new beta version is already available since late december which fixes this. You could download it, just watch out for the thread about the new Pythonista 3.3 BETA or you have to wait and have a bit patience it should be out sometime soon. -
Yes, it is the iPad Pro with a 12.9 inch screen. Thanks a lot for the info!

Are you using the iPad pro? There was a known issue, perhaps solved in the beta
