Beta expires in 1 day
-
No ! unfortunately.
-
@Enez-Houad I don't know what happens if you reinstall the app store version.
Are data kept?
I don't dare try -
the beta expired. I did not delete it ! I just reinstalled the old appstore version. After the download completed, now pythonista starts again. All my data was still there.
-
I've reinstalled the old appstore version and β¦ Youpi ! all is is in his place. I can sleep ! Now, I'm going to wait for the old new version ;-)
-
I've reinstalled the AppStore version but this installation was hanging until I remove the app from the active apps. Good to know if you meet the same problem.
-
The beta just got extended!
-
I was going to come in here today and note "I've been downgraded already" but then at a BBQ tonight I get a new beta version!!!! There is an increment too! This one is 330013, I'm pretty sure the last one was 33012, so I'm pretty excited!!!!!
HAPPY DANCE!!!
-
@madivad yes, but, see TestFlight π’
-
Ahh. Didnβt notice that. I hadnβt downloaded it yet, it just popped up on my watch and I happened to notice the version number.
Iβm stoked!
-
@cvp πππππππππ
-
@lpl I would say I'm happy with the beta version, almost bug free, but I agree that I've always be happy with Pythonista which allows me to develop a lot of (little) programs without needing a Pc/Mac.
-
@lpl I would add it is not yet time to GG π
-
In addition we now have the Xcode template for the App Store version of Pythonista. Iβd say the app is in a decent place right now. (Iβd still like background audio support- maybe including a example using this feature would get it approved by the App Store.)
-
-
@lpl As English is not my mother language, until which month is βearly" valid? π
-
Wow, I can't believe you guys, honestly.
The beta is a beta. It's meant for testing, and it's great if you make use of the new features in your day-to-day scripts, but you knew what you were signing up for. You knew that the beta could break at any moment, that it could also get pulled at any moment which would break the scripts as they don't work with the App Store version.
@omz owes you and I absolutely nothing. It's because of his generosity that we are able to use this new version, for free mind you, and you guys repay him by posting hacked versions of Pythonista? Hacked versions that anyone could just download and use, thereby potentially costing @omz money in lost sales?
Talk about entitlement smh.
-
@cvp It depends. I think may be 2019.03? But I'm sure for omz it's before 2020.
-
@immune Sorry, I think that I has not been correctly understood.
I only tried a joke.
Believe me, I βm the first fan of ole.
Iβm happy with each version and I could not live without Pythonista.
I'm sorry of this misunderstanding -
@cvp No not you⦠from your posts you did the sensible thing and downgraded back to the official release. Other people asked for and posted links to what looks like cracked versions though, on the official forums nonetheless⦠I just think it's extremely entitled to say something like
Perhaps itβs time to consider extracting the IPA and using Cydia Impactor to extend the validity of the beta.
because hello? The validity is determined by the developer and you aren't entitled to an extended beta.
-
@immune as if I did what I did to not pay pythonista? I paid for it, I don't think it's immoral to try and find ways to preserve software that has been lost. Please don't act like that, since nobody wanted to cause harm.
