Pythonista is not dead
-
Hi,
I‘ve been using Pythonista for more than 2 years now... It is a great thing and the best: it works, but there are still some issues and some features are missing.
Recently I checked the App-Store for an update: the last update was due more than a year ago. So I‘m a little bit concerned, that Pythonista is dead and that the devolopers have lost focus on it.I hope

I am a bit concerned, the last time omz posted on the forums, or even logged on, was 5 months ago and his twitter profile hasn't had a post since last December. I had to create a new profile, as the password reset function on the site is broken and he hasn't picked up my message about it. I hope he's ok.
Edit - I was wrong, he re-tweeted in March. Hopefully he's alright. It can't be easy being a one-man software company.

Not dead at all, see beta of new version here
-
@cvp Check the date on that post, it was 6 months ago and omz hasn't posted to these forums for 5 months.
-
@simon_hibbs I know but he extended the date of validity of the beta, thus I'm confident and optimistic (or naive 😀)
-
Calm down and relax, after about 60 days when the testflight is expired, he will show and renew this. And with the note that "no actual changes, sorry!!"
-
How do make it so you can put an input in the console.
-
my_input = None while not my_input: my_input = input("Type something:").strip() print(my_input)

@omz I just hope he might pop up and explain the situation.

Maybe we can change the tile from "Pythonista is not dead" to "Pythonista is dead" now. 🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶
