Next version of Workflow Directory
-
I'm curious about the future of the directory, as it is currently in beta. This is a question, as well as, I guess, a feature request. It would be nice to be able to edit workflows we've published, rather than having to repost it. I, wondering if there are any plans for something like this in the future.
I think it would be ideal if we could publish them using the accounts we use on the forum, so that we could go to our account page to view all of the workflows we've published, and be able to edit them from there, or at least remove one when an update or correction is made. I don't know what you have in mind for the directory, but those are just some thoughts of mine. Even as it stands now, it's still great. Being able to make workflows to automate Editorial is powerful, but being able to share them and view the work of others is just another one of those things that makes Editorial fantastic - one of many many things.

I don't have plans to use forum accounts for the workflow directory, but you'll be able to update and delete workflows from within the app in 1.1.
Since it doesn't use a login at all, a shared workflow will basically be bound to your device (by storing an automatically generated password). I know this is limiting in some ways, but it also makes things a lot simpler, and more convenient, since you don't have to log in anywhere.

No actually that sounds great! I am perfectly fine with that. I like the idea of being able to manage that from the app. That might well be preferable. Looking forward to it. Thanks.
