Getting to the interactive prompt
-
Hello, apologies in advance for the very basic question! I’m a new user of Pythonista and I just can’t get the interactive prompt up. I’ve swiped left from the keyboard on a new script and I just get the standard menu for creating new scripts etc. No interactive prompt.
I’m using an iPad Pro with an Apple hardware keyboard, and have tried to get the prompt both with and without the hardware keyboard. Would really appreciate any help with this annoying problem! Thank you!

interactive prompt
Is what you call "interactive prompt", the console command where you can type Python line?
If yes, swipe left when the keyboard is hidden
and see the command field at bottom -
If you're currently viewing the file browser, you have to swipe left twice to get to the interactive prompt, but make sure that you swipe anywhere except on the keyboard.
With an external keyboard, you can also get to the prompt by pressing
Cmd
+J
, maybe followed byCmd
+Return
(in case the keyboard isn't already active in the editor). -
Thank you very much! That worked.
