Hi guys,
In the last couple of months, mostly by following MacStories, I started using automation apps on iOS. Seeing that I started getting the hang of URL schemes in Drafts and LaunchCenterPro, I wanted to take it further by buying Editorial. In spite of using and even modifying certain workflows I am still a bit frightened with the complexity level that certain workflows require. My favourited example is Vitticcis workflow that posts the document to WordPress. I have no idea on how to modify it to make it work for my academic blog, and I really want to figure it out. After quite some googling and looking on the forum, I figured that the only way to learn it properly is the book by Vitticci, and I don't have the Apple bookstore in my county.
I guess that my questions would be:
What are the best resources for Editorial workflows?
If there is non for post to Wordpress, can someone make a brief tutorial?
Interested in Oles Pinboard workflow but I cant get it to work. Can anyone help?
Any chance that Ole is going to add more out of the box workflows in the new version?
Are there any places to find workflows other then the official repository?
(I am also interested in your favourite workflows)
Thanks and sorry for the noob questions.

Viticci's book is probably the most single comprehensive resource, but his blog posts cover the meat of it already. My suggestion would be to read those, then look at some Workflow examples from the official site and what comes with Editorial.
Once you understand the basics of how Workflows work and interact with Python scripts, the rest is just tinkering with Python itself. In fact, you can pretty much use straight-up Python without using complex Workflows themselves, though using the Workflow structure helps make the code cleaner.

That sucks you can't have iBooks there. I haven't used the Wordpress one myself, so I can't help you there, plus I only have a free Wordpress.com site and I think that's for the self-hosted Wordpress sites, if I recall correctly. Though I do have a workflow to post from Editorial via Blogsy app using url schemes (also Wordpress app, as bad as it is, added a URL scheme supporting title, tags, and content of post, so I might test it). I'd like to find a better flow for that.
I'm pretty sure you can only install workflows from the directory because that's where they are shared to, but there is some great stuff in there. But there is some good info on sites like Macdrifter. I'll see if I can find some others. I'm not sure what Pinboard workflow you mean, so I'll have to look for it. For posting, I usually use workflow I made for Pinswift app, if it's through Editorial's browser, but I'm working on something better. What problem are you having with the Pinboard workflow exactly?
As for workflows I like, Insert In/Ref Link, Copy All Text, ClipWebpage (excellent workflow), Search Selection. And I've been working on a comprehensive workflow that integrates all the apps or services I might send text or the document to, the ones that support it at least. Though it may be becoming unwieldy. Work in progress. As you play with Editorial more and look at other workflows, you'll pick a lot of it up pretty quickly I think. best of luck. It's such a powerful app. These forums are a good resource, so don't apologize for noob questions.

WyldKard is right. And, for that matter, some pretty powerful workflows without Python - though that's entirely dependent on what it is you aim to accomplish with it. The in-app documentation is incredibly useful. Ole did an excellent job with this, so never underestimate the help to be found there. And try searching Pinboard for Editorial related tags and text.

For ease of future blog posting I don't even use anything outside of Python with Editorial. I might be missing a big trick here. I don't know.
