Text selection is super slow on iPad Air
-
Has anybody else noticed super slow text selection on iPad Air? If I remember it right it was fine on my iPad 4.

maybe is 64 bit processor
-
and not optimized to iOS 7

Thanks, I'll look into it in the next few days, I'll get my Air tomorrow.
-
Just want to add it is just as slow on a retina iPad 3 with ios7.

I tried it this morning and it worked okay. I noticed it when I was using Editorial on a plane with in-flight wifi. The internet was really slow and I worked on a document that was stored in Dropbox. Maybe it helps.

@mcsquaredjr Yes maybe...
-
In my case it is a considerable delay.
That drives me nuts ... -
Yes, I have noticed slow text selection on the retina iPad Mini. Specifically, the grab handles for text selection seem very slow in updating and responding to touch events. A reboot of the iPad seems to fix it for a while, but the problem does eventually recur.

It's definitely an IOS7 issue. I have multiple iPads in my office that run both IOS7 and IOS6 including iPad mini, iPad 3, IPad 4 and iPad office and have tested Editorial response across all of them. The issue comes about because of the system takes time to populate the copy/paste/define dialog.
As it happens it's not only Editorial that's plagued by this bug but even Apples Pages application suffered with this sluggishness before today's app update.
I think it's just a case of being patient and waiting for Ole to launch the IOS7 native version.

I just updated to IOS 7.1.1 and the situation is much improved across my IOS7 devices. Still not perfect, but a huge improvement.
