Date Math In Editorial Or Python?
-
Greetings,
I have set up Text Expander snippets to do some date math for me, but in order to use them to create files, I need to pop over to Drafts or Launch Center Pro. Is there a way to do date math in Editorial, or using snippets? Outside of this is there a simple way to set up date math in a Python script? I need to input the date seven days from now and one month from now. Thoughts? Sorry I'm still on the front end of using Python.
Thank you!

I've made a custom action to do simple date math:

The logic for adding months ensures that the result date is always in the given calendar month, e.g. adding one month to Jan. 31 would result in Feb. 28/29.
I'd recommend saving this action as a preset (from the (▼) options), so you can use it in your own workflows.
