an inexperienced pythonista's question
-
I'm nearly through with my first non-trivial python project and have developed a strong interest in rust. I'm mostly interested in rust because I want to work on a small hardware project (power bank stuff), but I wanted to inquire. What is the true purpose of rust? I understand it's embedded systems and CLI, but is that all there is to it? Is it a viable alternative to Python? Or do they have distinct functions in the toolbox? I apologise if this is a basic question, but I was just curious.
