Flick button keyboard.

@cvp
If you move the cursor back and forth or press either "read from" or "read all" button, the text will not be read out. Do you need more scripts? -
@shinya-ta Weird, on my IPad, both "read" buttons are working correctly.
I think that I remember that some years ago you got the same problem on an iPhone but not on a other one. -
@cvp
You need a flick input button, but a read out button is the most important. I don't know why it doesn't work with my and my wife's iPhones. -
@shinya-ta I understand but did your wife really use my keyboard before? And, if yes, did the "read" button work?
-
@cvp
The voice reading button didn't work, so my wife doesn't use it. I thought it would be good if I could use it again with this flick input button. -

Do you mean that your wife doesn't use the keyboard or the read button?
And, if you have an iPad, could you test it.
Perhaps only a difference in your settings. Is your volume high? -
@cvp
The volume is maximum, but nothing has changed. -

@cvp
I am not using the Read out button now. I am using the cursor movement button. -
@shinya-ta I've modified my script to no more use the Pythonista speech module but the ObjectiveC speech functions, thus more standard.
could you try this new version

On the iPhone, it doesn't read out either. I didn't test on an iPad, but my wife doesn't use an iPad, so I didn't test it.
Also, when I use "voice over", I won't read the text of the flick input button.
At first, you read out the flick input button, but after two to three times, you don't read the button. -

Could you try the "read" button without activating VoiceOver and tell me, thanks
but after two to three times, you don't read the button.

I'm sorry. It seems that my lack of explanation was the cause.
I read "read all", but I didn't read the text. I read only "one letters" to the left of the cursor.
The "read from" button didn't read anything.The request for the "read all" button is like reading a web page from the beginning.
The request for the "read from" button is to read the web page from the beginning to the cursor position. -
Read all
: Read from the beginning of the document to the end of the document.Read to cursor
: Read from the beginning of the document to the cursor.Read from cursor
: Read from the cursor to the end of the document.
-
@ccc
That's what I mean. -
@shinya-ta the "read from" from the script is "read from cursor".
Your explanation seems to say that you hope that "read from" is "read from start to cursor" what is "read to cursor", not supported actually.
Anyway, there are two problems:- I use Pythonista keyboard.get_input_context which does not really give text from beginning of document but from beginning of line...at least for a TextView
- you say it does not read really, but it reads successfully on my iPad
And a keyboard is not displayed for a webpage, it is only for editable documents
-
@cvp
It is important how much you have written while you are making the sentences. -

I'm really sorry but, like you, English is not my mother-language and I don't understand what you mean to say.
-
@cvp
It's like this.Read all: Read from the beginning of the document to the end of the document.
Read to cursor: Read from the beginning of the document to the cursor.
Read from cursor: Read from the cursor to the end of the document. -
@shinya-ta Only to be sure. You speak about "read a web page" but a keyboard is only used to type in a TextField or a TextView, like the URL field in Safari, not at all in the displayed web page it-self.
Do you understand that?
