Pausing workflow for an x-callback action?
-
I'm curious if it's possible to have a workflow call an x-callback-url, do whatever it's supposed to, then have the same workflow pick back up upon returning with new input. I guess I'd use Philip Gruneich's 1Writer and Calca calculate action, which uses 1Writer's retParam to replace text with the calculation upon returning to the app. So, with that example, could you pause the workflow while sending the info to Calca, then continue on return and run actions on it, or would this require two workflows, or is there already a built in way to replace via URL scheme?

Have you seen the Open x-callback URL action?

That means yes, you can pause a workflow while you send stuff off to another app and pick up where you left off when it comes back. :-) See my Monthly Update workflow that I just uploaded. It goes over to Drafts as many as eleven times and comes back to where it left off.
