@ccc ya mon, i have 'allow extra row' enabled.
          The pythonista keyboard in enabled.
The globe key switches between the system keyboard and the pythonista keyboard (the full ansii style).
There is an empty gray rectangle where the python special chars should be.
The ansii keyboard is actually a good alternative but something has changed since recent ios update and/or pythonista reinstall.

In the past, I have already met this problem. Did you try to restart Pythonista or even power off/on your iDevice?

@cvp yes those actions make no difference. But, i have stumbled on the solution ..
In ipad settings > general (all keyboards) > shortcuts, must be enabled.
              Thanks, all responders.

Well done. Not sure that it was also needed in the past, I don't remember at all. Perhaps never changed this setting.

@jjbielas Yes, thank you for finding this! Would be nice if search could have been easier, I tried "pythonista editor problem", "pythonista scroll"...You see, the problem for me caused everything to be unusable as any time I tried to edit the entire text would scroll away above the view screen! Thank you!
