NVM: Using a variable in regex?
-
edit: got it to work, sorry, wish i could delete this
I'm trying to make a TP workflow to prompt for a project name and show all current tasks and archived tasks.
I've kind of worked backwards. I made a workflow to prompt for a project name and then filter lines that contain that name and output to the console This is getting me the archived tasks since every line contains the project name in a tag. And is working fine.
now I'm trying to select the "live" project tasks, since the project name is on one line and it's children do not contain the project name.
I've come up with this regex:
^.*^81357.*$([\s\S]+?)\r?\n(?=\r?\n)
where 81357 is the project name, it then selects the line with the project name and selects until the next blank line. I'm having a problem passing the text from the prompt into the expression replacing 81357.
It works perfect with the project name hard coded into the expression , just gotta get that variable to replace it.
Any help would be appreciated.
