French. Living in Paris.
Writing scripts on iPad only since I fell in love with EDITORIAL app. I almost don't need my computer anymore. I use a solar powered Bluetooth keyboard.
I still have some minor issues with the app that I try to settle and that is why I am on this forum. I will also catch any piece of advice or ideas from users and creator.
I work several hours every day on EDITORIAL at the moment. And I have a big thing to finish soon. I would be happy to test the beta and help improve but this is the moment I really need a perfectly stable tool, and a beta may not be as stable as the present version.
Maybe I will wait for the next version official.
The present version is already an amazing tool for me and I can wait till the next version easy and I will be glad to discover all the improvements.
Is there a link to a preview of this next release, where I can find Infos, list of improvements and release date?
TO OMZ : Hello, I am on Editorial 1.2.1. The one I found on App Store.
In fact I didn't ask for a new spell checker as a new workflow. I was just asking if it was possible to use the regular Spell Checker Tool in the Editor in another way than checking word by word as writing.
For me it was something I would have found practical (and which depens on the langage used by the system).
But if I need to use a spell checker Workflow as you advise me, I will of course gladly do it.
I had attempted this before:
Thank you, but I tried it but it doesnt work for me. It makes something very different that the the automatic spelling check underligning wrong worlds in red.
Do you think it is something possible to achieve (launch a regular check spelling of full document) someday or do I have to find an alternative solution (like copying finished work in WORD or PAGES only for chez spelling?)?
Idealy I would really prefer to do almost everything in Editorial.
Thank you in advance for your further answer or help.
Thank you TutotialDoctor. This will be very usefull.
It is not what I was looking for cause it doesn't preview the Fountain syntax. So it is not a preview anymore, it is more a different view at a small scale wich is very practical to check some parts of a long document.
This is actually very very practical!! So thanks again, even if it doesn't really answer the problem we were rising with the preview.
Hello again everyone.
I try to avoid disturbance when writing and then CHECK SPELLING option is OFF as I am writing.
When I activate the Check Spelling option later, it doesn't start to check all the text. I have to select each word manually so it can be automatically checked and underlined in red if wrong.
Would anyone know a WORKFLOW able to LAUNCH A FULL CHECK SPELLING of the entire document ?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide guys and girls.
I write scripts in fountain and every time I open the PREVIEW panel it shows the first page of the document whatever position I am in in the editor.
If my doc is long, it is not very comfortable to have to scroll to page 20 (for example) and further on every time I want to preview the actual part I am working on.
Is there a way that position in preview could reflect the position I am in the editor when I open the preview?
Thanks to everyone that could answer.
i meet the same problem than you. I get around that problem using this workflow: FOUNTAIN PREVIEW by /olemoritz
Thank you very much for this quick answer. It works perfectly.
To you think it is possible to have the possibility of "sending the text as an attachment" in a ACTION?
(Like the simple Action " COMPOSE EMAIL" but with text as attachment in place of text on the mail)
This is my first question on that forum and I hope someone will have time to answer.
I need to send the text as a .txt file as ATTACHMENT in mail and not as text in mail.
Can I ask you if you have found a way of doing so and if you did, is there a way of getting that workflow.
Thanks in advance.
( I am new. I am French. I use Editorial for script writing for 2 weeks now. It is perfect for me. But I have still issues I can't fix. And I don't know nothing about coding or Python for the moment and, because I am already late to finish a script I am on at the moment, I don't plan to learn coding or Python for the next weeks.)
