TutorialDoctor, any chance you'd make a Chicago/Turabian footnote & bibliography tool?

Or maybe just share how you'd go about building a footnote generator that pops up, requests info, then formats & inserts it properly. I can poke around and figure out how to get it to Chicago/Turabian. The Workflow actions and Python are daunting for an utter newbie.

I can see the ridiculous power we have at our fingertips in Editorial, but most of that power is at the top of a fairly steep learning curve. I'll get there. Slowly.

    • RE: Equivalent for Byword's CMD-E?

minnepicker, I would love to do that—but I can't find an action listed that would do that. If you know how to do this, I'd be really grateful :)

I join TutorialDoctor in wondering how. Please share if you've come up with a solution!

    • Equivalent for Byword's CMD-E?

      Hi all, new user here—

Is there a way to create an equivalent to Byword's CMD-E Edit mode feature?

In Byword, I can enter markdown preview mode with CMD-P, and then press it again to toggle preview off. So far, so good—I've been able to figure out how to get back and forth from preview mode in Editorial.

In Byword, all I have to do to return the carat to my document and keep on writing is to hit CMD-E. In other words, I don't have to lift my fingers from the keys and poke the screen to keep working. In Editorial, it seems I have to lift and poke. Boo, hiss.

Did I miss something obvious? I VASTLY prefer Editorial in every other way.

    • RE: Pythonista to Editorial?

You know, I was actually just about to buy Pythonista as an environment to write my Editorial scripts in—thinking that surely, since it's the same dev, there would be an "export to Editorial" function.

You guys just saved me money. I'm actually saddened by this, however, because I was really hoping for this functionality. Booo.
