There is is for once the bit dated but still very elegent Vector Math for 3D Computer Graphics which explains the most important concepts of Linear Algebra very nicely. Also I would suggest you take a look at Processing, its tutorials and its python mode. It is an enviroment which has been explicitly designed for visual people.
