There's no need to worry. Apple have had Swift Playgrounds already. 😊

Though it's intended for learning, Swift Playgrounds for iPad is full of advance features. In fact, you have access to all iOS' SDKs/APIs. I dare to say this would become an XCode for iPad, or XCode Mini, or whatever you want to call it. Take a look at this video to know that Swift Playgrounds' feature isn't a joke… https://developer.apple.com/videos/play/wwdc2016/408/ 😊

@omz: So, does that mean theoretically you would make a Swift IDE for iOS? 😀

@dgelessus: Swift can be a compiler and produce native code, but it's also able to be an REPL similarly like Python. Open swift.org for further details. 😊

    Hi @omz,

Sorry for asking an out of topic question. I'm just curious and can't hold myself to ask.

Since Swift is now open source, is it possible to create a Pythonista-like app for Swift in iOS? If it's possible, do you consider to make one? If you do, just tell me… I'd pay for it in a heart beat, even right now at this very moment! Just like… shut up and take my money! 😀

Please, Moritz… please make one for Swift. Thank you.

    Regards,

    -Bee
