@dgelessus Thank you again! Now I feel silly. I didn't have the hardware keyboard connected at the time, of course, so the selection didn't appear.
Thank you very much again - problem solved!

RE: Lost work? Not!
@ccc Ah, very interesting. The difference being here, that my file was synced just fine to Dropbox, albeit still being zero bytes on the iPad.
That post was 9 months ago ... I would have thought that a killer bug like that would have been fixed asap! I'm hoping I didn't buy the wrong product if the support doesn't work?

Lost work? Not!
Okay, this is bizarre. I was on a longer flight yesterday and opened a new MD file on Editorial to write a review. Mind, I was offline. I renamed it and started typing, getting the first draft done before I landed.
After landing, I connected to the airport wifi and everything synced. I know that Dropbox sync worked, because I'd also sent three PDFs I'd generated from the Editorial PDF workflow to a separate folder on my Dropbox.
My work, however, was gone. The file came up with 0 bytes in Editorial and, in fact, apparently wasn't even openable, as Editorial displayed a strange message with "Open in..." as an option.
I was dismayed, to say the least.
When I finally came back online with my laptop, however, I was very surprised to find a complete file containing my review in the Editorial app directory on Dropbox!
Even more confusing is that on my iPad, the file still comes up with zero bytes.

RE: Keyboard issues
@dgelessus Unfortunately, I answered before really trying it... as it turns out, this doesn't work. I've set the English keyboard to qwertz layout in settings as indicated. It sounded too logical to be true: when I now switch to the English keyboard (there is a function key on my keyboard for this), I still get the US keyboard layout.
I'm going to try restarting my iPad next (though that shouldn't be necessary and probably won't change things).
Since the layout is also wrong in other apps as well as the browser (i.e. here), I'm going to assume this is an Apple issue. -
RE: Keyboard issues
@dgelessus Super, thanks for that tidbit of information. I was not aware that you can set the keyboard layout for each language. Setting the layout to QWERTZ for English solved the problem. THANK YOU!

Keyboard issues
I use a German keyboard with my iPad, but the interface is set to English.
The issue I have is that all English-language text entered in Editorial will be highlighted as spelled incorrectly. This is because I have to set the Keyboard language to German, which - apparently - automatically also sets the spell checker to German. This is pretty annoying, as you can imagine. Is there a way around this? Is it an Apple issue or is it something that might be added as an option to Editorial?
Thank you!

RE: MD file doesn't always register bullet list
Fantastic! Some of the most irritating things are solved so easily.
That was my problem: started the list right after the previous paragraph.
Thank you very much!!! -
MD file doesn't always register bullet list
Hi,
there is an issue I keep having when writing Markdown text. For some reason, Editorial will not register a "*" (and following *'s, some indented) as a Markdown unordered list.
I took some notes in a conference session yesterday, and it happened again. What is odd is that at some point, the unordered list worked just fine, even though I didn't do anything different.
Any ideas what might be wrong? Or is this a known bug?
Thanks.
