Feature Request: Multiple Bookmark Bars
-
As my collection of macros grows, accessing them efficiently becomes more difficult. It would be super-useful if I could switch between multiple Bookmark Bars. I foresee this as having one set up for Markdown, another for BBCode/Ars Technica posts, etc.
Post this here hoping it strikes a resonant chord.
Rgds!

You can use tags to group macros. Tag all macros you want together with the same tag and then select the tag at the top and it will filter to just those macros.

That is helpful—thank you!—but not everything I'd hope for. I'm looking to create sets for the Bookmark Bar that runs across the top of the document window.
Still, your suggestion is an improvement and I've gone through and tagged my macros.

@jaberg This might not be exactly what you want, but it's pretty close:
→ Workspaces... (Editorial Workflow)
I made this a while ago, and it goes a little bit further than your idea...
It switches between multiple sets of bookmarks and workflows – it basically just creates multiple "snapshots" of all workflows and bookmarks. It's probably relatively easy to modify it, so that it only saves bookmarks in the snapshots (and not the entire workflow list), but I haven't really looked at it in a while.

I will have a look the Workspaces workflow tomorrow. (Today is just not the day for optimizing—it's a day for grinding.)
Indeed not perfect, but full of promise. There are multiple solutions to my "problem" and I'm open to any and all.
Regards!

@omz …and as fast as that, while finishing my coffee, I downloaded, installed and did a rough configuration for Markdown and BBCode.
Need to do a bit of digging to better understand where the config files are stored and how to move the snapshots to my phone and "beaterPad" (neither of which gets much serious Editorial use, but I don't want to get caught short through a failure to understand, at least at a basic level, how this works.) If I'm understanding your comments, it's all part of my "main" workflows configuration, so creating a backup of the "new" configuration and installing it on the other devices should provide me with the three snapshots I've currently created. (No need to go into details, I'm happy to plug away at it tomorrow and ask for clarification if needed.)
Mostly, THANK YOU! This is great.
Thank you!
