I'm syncing my entire Dropbox folder with Editorial and it works ok; however, the navigation is not that easy if you have many sub-directories, recent file helps but not always enough.

I realized maybe it would be a good option to either be able to bookmark a folder for faster access. Or, a more advance version of this is to be able to create multiple Dropbox sync folder with different syncing properties like different file type to sync and they all appear in the folder list.

      Cheers,
      Amir.

Not exactly what you want, but symlinks can help you ...

        • set Dropbox folder in Editorial to /Apps/Editorial
        • symlink all wanted folders to /Apps/Editorial

... that's it. Editorial can work with /Apps/Editorial content only, but you can symlink another Dropbox directory (even directory outside of /Apps/Editorial) there as well. Just tested in Editorial and it does work.

Just wanted to second this request for multiple folder sync. I use Editorial to sync my notes folder, and I want to maintain a completely flat folder of many small notes files there. But I would also really like to use Editorial for bigger documents, especially with some of the new features in 1.2 and the possibilities with iOS 9. Some of those documents I want to share with collaborators, and I'm not comfortable sharing things from my personal notes folder.

Side note, you don't have to use /Apps/Editorial as suggested above (though I think /Apps/Editorial is the default). I'm using /notes. You can pick any folder to sync right now, but you can pick only one folder, whichever it is.

That DOES NOT fix the problem. The problem is NOT having access to multiple DB folders, so you can segregate documents. Nor can you open docs from other DB directories (open in ...) w/o the doc being moved, and zeroed out. Not useful.

I have MARKDOWN docs, TASKLIST docs, and CODE docs that I don't want mixed with each either. When Script-o-Gram was working I couldn't use Editorial to write posts w/o jumping through hoops,

Ulysess not only lets me access all directories in Box, and Dropbox; I can access my github files via WorkingCopy!

Having on ONE directory choice means having A VERY LONG LIST files that are mixed together, and don't have any distinguishing marks other than the icon. It also means that you are locked into that directory. arg.

Would it be possible to write to three directories inside /Apps/Editorial ?

                • /Apps/Editorial/Code
                • /Apps/Editorial/Markdown
                • /Apps/Editorial/Tasklist

I would also like the ability to make use of more than one Dropbox folder. In my case, for syncing with my desktop writing tool Scrivener, which uses one folder per project.

                      +1 ...

My Dropbox blogging folder subtree is different from my iThoughts outlining subtree. (They are for related but different parts of my "giveback" / "outreach".)

iThoughts seems to allow linking to multiple folders.

+1 for me on this as well.

i just posted in the forum recently asking for some help on an issue.

my use case is simply that some of my documents are completely private and i don't want them going to the cloud period. i'd love to be able to only synch the public folders / portions of my local editorial tree and exclude local private folders from any synch.

                            thx

+1 Please! This is vital to my workflow and the symlink solution DOES NOT work reliably as discussed here: https://www.dropboxforum.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/206318236-Link-an-internal-folder-instead-of-copying-

I very much would like this feature too! I'd like to have my taskpaper folders always there as well as some others.
