Convert .md doc to .rtf and save to different Dropbox folder
-
I am trying to export, convert or grab the text from the current Markdown doc in Editorial and save it as a Rich Text document in a different folder in Dropbox.
Not sure if this is at possible, but if anyone can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.

What do you mean by rich text ?
If you mean a .rtf file (as you can save from several mainstream word processors), then this is not well supported in iOS, and not directly in Editorial.
If you mean rich text as in html then Editorial shines.

Yes, .rtf.
Thought there might be a Pythonista script that would do the job and could be run in an Editorial workflow. Unfortunately, I’m not much of a script writer!

I've seen mention on the internet of python libraries that convert to a real .rtf file. One is pyRTF. I imagine it would require Pythonista, not Editorial (better support for external libraries), and I imagine it would take some sweat to get it running.
There's an iOS app called textilus that supports markdown and outputs rtf. It would be simple to have an editorial workflow to put the current open markdown file on the clipboard, then you would manually switch to textilus, paste the markdown into an empty document and output it as rtf. Caution: I haven't used textilus or done this, but it seems in the realms of the possible.

Thanks, @Peterh.
I’ll have a look at Textilus – can’t see me sweating Python.
