Hi, this post is more so for @cvp as it has been a long while since I have been here on these forums. Nonetheless, any input would be appreciated. As cvp knows he did the lord's work helping me bring my ideas to life with an app that used apple maps to keep track of locations of trash found around cities. I wanted to continue making the app but due to a lack of knowledge and more high school garbage getting in the way, I could not.

Reflecting back on it now, my app was very flawed, and I am not sure I should continue using Pythonista, as the implemented apple maps didn't seem to have all the functionalities I wanted (such as being able to make a detailed UI system on the map and being able to produce a heatmap).

If anybody (especially cvp) knows if it is possible to continue my idea, I would love to know, or should I consider using a different IDE and/or language.

As the map is a view, you can put any UI on it

being able to produce a heatmap

What do you call an heatmap?

          see this example

It is a bit difficult to see, but it captures the idea I have. I would like it to be more smooth around the edges, this one is rather blocky (shaped like squares).

@RocketBlaster05 Apple MKMapView allows to have overlays to do this kind of stuff.

@cvp ok, I'm trying to look at it now. Hard to tell what exactly I'm looking for since the documentation doesn't have picture examples.

@RocketBlaster05 in your Map for RocketBlaster05.py script, I use this feature to draw coloured circles. I think it could be polygons.

                Edit: MKMultiPoint

                Edit: Nice example

@cvp This is helpful, but not exactly what I am looking for. I am going to keep looking at it, as these are only the basic implementations of those mk functions.

Also, this is in javascript isnt it? Does it transfer to pythonista in python?

                    See this example.

This is exactly what I want. Unfortunately, this is for google maps.

No, it is ObjectiveC or Swift, not JS

@cvp ah ok. I am busy at the moment but I think I am going to consider the google map sdk, as I have a clear example of what I am looking for. I’ll update you more later.

Well, it is better to consult more specialized developers who can advise you on the possibility of realizing such an idea. Sometimes you don't have to do this from scratch and just pay attention to the mobile applications implemented like i did for improve VPN connection stability on Android before. But this requires more in -depth study of many software products.
